Hi, I’m Claire.

I am a Mum to two grown sons, I enjoy pottery and generally being creative, my garden is my happy place and I have a huge passion about people, how we work and what makes our brains tick the way we do.

Following a difficult period in my life including a marriage breakdown and a diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I feel I had truly lost sight of who ‘Claire’ was. I was a wife, I was a mother and I was a nursery nurse, but I felt alone, a square peg trying to fit into one of life’s square holes and it felt exhausting – I was constantly neglecting who I was and what I needed to be happy. 

I knew I needed to stop and reassess my life. Who WAS I and what lit me up? I just didn’t recognise myself anymore. I threw myself, as much as my body would allow, into self-development and over 5 years transformed everything for the better.

I knew I wanted, and more importantly, deserved much more.  I knew I wanted to support other women to do the same, so I trained as a coach, so I could help women who are feeling the same in a much shorter timeframe than the long hard 5 years of self-led self-development.

What is coaching anyway?

Many people at some point in their life will feel lost, unsure or stuck. Sometimes this can be due to a tangible decision that needs to be made, sometimes there seems to be no obvious reason.

Coaching is a safe space to explore what’s going on and look at it all with someone who is non-judgemental and won’t bring their own opinions, wants and needs to the table.

I often think of it like emptying a cluttered handbag onto a table and being able to sort out what you need.  Allowing you to look at what you are carrying around daily. When you see what’s possibly weighing you down you can choose what you wish to discard or keep and then often look at what might be good for you to add.

It’s only when you can see it all clearly, that you can begin to sort these things out, it’s the same with our minds.

We often don’t notice the patterns we are automatically living out, the limiting beliefs, the stories we tell ourselves that have become our truths. So many times I see people truly light up when everything becomes less cluttered and they discover a clear pathway of how to move forward.

How it works

I work online via zoom, usually in blocks of 6 one hour sessions. These can be weekly or bi weekly, whichever suits you best. Some clients choose to add some additional sessions at a later date which we can arrange if that suits your needs.

It’s important that you feel comfortable with your coach, whomever you choose to work with and I always offer a completely free no obligation 30 minute clarity call to anyone interested in working with me, so we can see if we are a good fit to move forward. You won’t find any pushy sales bullshit on these clarity calls, that’s not my thing at all!

Sometimes people approach me when they are stuck on a decision which they need to make, and they just need one focus session to work that through. I’m happy to work with you on that basis if that works for you.

Work with me

My coaching is bespoke to the individual client and comes from a wide range of psychologically grounded coaching frameworks and techniques, such as Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural Coaching, TimeLine and NLP (Neuro linguistic Programming).

I am a qualified coach, the training I have undertaken is fully recognised by governing body the ICF (International Coaching Federation). I have also done (and still do) countless shorter courses on coaching in general, ADHD, neuroscience in coaching and much more.
